Hello Holidays!
It is finally starting to cool down here in San Antonio. I don’t know why but last weekend I decorated for Christmas. We don’t have much in the way of decorations but I put what little we had out. After Thanksgiving I start to decorate real pine wreaths with ornaments picked up from the clearance rack after the previous Christmas.
Since I finished decorating I’ve been thinking of what kind of holiday treats to make this year for family and friends besides the old standbys; green tree spritz, my favorite ribbon cookies, and two of my Mom’s great recipes: bon bons and almond butter crunch toffee. Martha Stewart’s new holiday cookie magazine has a lot of varieties but none that really caught my eye. If you have any favorites please post them!
Here is a picture of last years discount wreath:

I’m all for cheap wreaths! By the way, the best treats are brownies! (also easiest to make)
Nice wreath!
My wife has done this type of thing too. She used to have a Spring, Fall, and Winter wreath (I’m not sure what she had against summer, but that never made it to the door). However, her idea of making a wreath was to go to a craft store and buy all the ingredients. By the time you added up all the materials, her wreath’s had a monetary value of around $75. For those of you that don’t know, you can buy pre-made wreaths for about $15. Well…. hers were …uh… prettier.
