I had been wanting to ‘bling out’ my cell phone for months and months but I kept putting it off. Some companies will decorate your phone with beautiful Swarovski crystals for anywhere from $200 to $400 bucks. I am pretty thrifty, so I decided to tackle this project myself and spend considerably less ($95). Darrell helped me with the calculations so that I ordered enough stones.

Last weekend I finally ordered my rhinestones from “The Rhinestone Guy” and found one lonely bottle of Gem Tac at Michaels hidden in the way back of a glue bin.

So here is what I ended up with:

There are more pictures of the process and finished phone here.

I still have a lot of stones left over so I think I will cover my Shuffle and whatever else I can find that could use a little bling.

Today is my 28th birthday!

When I came in to work I had a wonderful surprise waiting for me!

My co-workers made me feel extra special today, it was awesome!

I had a wonderful birthday, my work day was pretty busy, i had a nice lunch with my current team mates and my former team mates, two cakes, some awesome cards, got some goodies from the Bare Escentuals store, dinner at The Melting Pot, and ice cream for dessert!

The best thing about today was that Darrell did not forget that it was my birthday. ;)

I am beat. I will post more about my latest project and the gift Scion sent me soon.

Our Saturday was going great!

We woke up early, ran all of our errands, and decided to shop at La Cantera and have lunch at PF Changs.

Here is where the day started to suck:

Darrell went through the car wash and a piece of his car came off.
gas thing
I guess the hinge was already loose. We went back to the car wash and got the gas cover thing and have an appointment to take the car in to get fixed on Monday.

Then he hit the garage with his car:

We were able to get most of the paint off of the car’s paint but not off of the plastic part of the bumper.
